What is Transfest?
Transfest is a groundbreaking event hosted by People Need Welfare Society, focusing on the empowerment, education, and healthcare of transgender individuals. The event will provide resources, education, and a platform for transgender people to connect, learn, and thrive. On July 19, 2025, join us for an enriching day filled with workshops, health sessions, and empowerment opportunities.

Free Health Cards:
As part of Transfest, transgender individuals will be offered free health cards. These health cards can be used to access medical services, including checkups, treatments, and other health-related services at partner clinics or hospitals.
Purpose: The health cards are designed to ensure that transgender individuals have better access to healthcare, making it easier for them to seek medical help without financial barriers. This initiative aims to promote physical well-being and access to crucial healthcare services.
Eligibility: The health cards are available for all transgender individuals attending the event. A simple registration process will allow participants to receive their cards on the day of the event.
Education Sessions:
- Transfest will feature a series of education sessions aimed at empowering transgender individuals with the knowledge and resources they need to thrive in different areas of life, including legal rights, mental health, financial literacy, and community support.
- Topics:
- Transgender Rights and Legal Advocacy: Information on legal protections, rights, and how to navigate challenges in society.
- Mental Health Awareness: Sessions will focus on overcoming stigma, managing mental health, and building emotional resilience.
- Career Development and Financial Independence: Educating attendees on how to build sustainable careers, entrepreneurship, and managing finances.
Health Camps:
Transfest will host free health camps, where transgender individuals can receive medical checkups, screenings, and consultations from healthcare professionals.

Routine health checkups: blood pressure, sugar levels, etc.
Sexual and reproductive health consultations.
General health advice and guidance on maintaining overall well-being.
Mental health support and counseling services.
Goal: To ensure that transgender individuals have access to essential medical care, focusing on preventive healthcare and mental health support.
Empowerment Workshops:
These workshops are designed to focus on personal empowerment and self-representation for transgender individuals.
Workshop Topics:
Confidence Building: How to embrace your identity, build confidence, and overcome societal barriers.
Self-Advocacy and Public Speaking: Training on how to represent yourself in various settings, including professional environments and social interactions.
Body Positivity and Self-Care: Encouraging self-love and body acceptance, helping participants develop a positive self-image.
Purpose: These workshops aim to foster a sense of belonging and encourage participants to take charge of their personal growth, both emotionally and socially.
